In a sense, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park® can be thought of as a 600,000 acre classroom. Within its fascinating landscape lay brilliant examples of geology, anthropology, paleontology, biology, natural history, human history, and astronomy. All that’s required is to bring the student to the subject and California Overland is uniquely suited to do just that. We have partnered with schools and universities to connect education with the natural world.

Each vehicle seats up to 17 passengers and is capable of reaching even the most remote areas. With two trucks complete with two-way radios and handhelds, up to 34 students and teachers can travel as a team. We work with teachers and professors to tailor the perfect learning experience to fit their needs and interests.

Select from day field trips of varying lengths, visiting an area that lends itself to your focus. Or, consider our very successful two-day overnights where we provide all the food and equipment at discount rates for schools. We can either accommodate your choice of teacher or speaker and just be the platform for the trip, or you can rely on our own general expertise. We also have links to experts in specific fields such as astronomy or paleontology who may be involved as well.
